Under guidance and support of Sītagū Sayadaw, Dr. Ashin Nānissara (Sītagū Buddhist Academy), the Sītagū Cakkhudāna Hospital Hsipaw has been in operation eighteen times: 9649 eye patients were examined and surgical procedure performed on 1890 patients for free of charge.

Currently as Sītagū Sayadaw is trying to open and manage Sītagu Cakkhudāna Hospital throughout Myanmar, he can only come and provide support to Hsipaw Sītagū Cakkhudāna Hospital once a year.

The members of the Hsipaw Sītagū Cakkhudāna Hospital are now running the program still under guidelines of the Sayadaw Gyi. On the 24^th, 25^th, and 26^th of March it was the hospital's fourth anniversary and we run the nineteenth program on our own using the techniques of the Sagaine Sītagū Āyudāna Hospital. We examined 281 eye patients and performed surgical procedures on 83 patients for free of charge.

We are trying to provide the hospital service four times a year from our own effort. For the previous program seven million kyats were spent on medical supplies.

We kindly request all donors to enable us to keep running the free eye program by supporting the Hsipaw Sītagū Cakkhudāna Hospital generously.

      

         It is an honor to the Hsipaw Township to have a reliable and free eye hospital not only for Hsipaw, but also for all people who live in the Shan State.
